Welcome to ATD22 and to sunny Florida! For those attending ATD22 in person, make the most of your time away from work (when not enjoying the conference, of course) and explore the many fun activities that Orlando has to offer.

Dining. Orlando offers more than 5,000 restaurants encompassing celebrity chef-owned eateries, themed dining, inventive fast-casual fare, famous brand names, and local favorites. Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort is a great starting point for dinner out on the town. Just 6.5 miles from the convention center, Disney Springs offers a wide variety of dining options from Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ to Cookes of Dublin to Jaleo by José Andrés. Another option is to explore the restaurants on International Drive around the Orange County Convention Center. Options include Yard House, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and Bahama Breeze as well as fast-casual options like Five Guys.

If you’re looking for dinner and networking, sign up for the Meet to Eat program. ATD will pair you with other attendees for lunch or dinner. Sign up at least 24 hours in advance to ensure seating availability. Note: Diners pay their own way.

Out on the town. Orlando has plenty of activities to keep you entertained after you’ve learned all you can at the ATD22 sessions. On International Drive, you can take in the sights from 400 feet up in The Wheel at ICON Park. Or explore the Sea Life Aquarium or Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

If you’re out at Disney Springs for a meal, spend the evening exploring the stores and activities there. For instance, you may want to take a ride in the Aerophile hot air balloon or listen to live music at the House of Blues Music Hall. Universal CityWalk also features a variety of restaurants and shopping and is less than 4 miles from the convention center. And, of course, Orlando is also home to the magic of Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Studios if you’re looking to fit in some time at an amusement park.
