Two easy ways

Creating drag-and-drop interactions with Articulate Storyline is incredibly easy. All you have to do is indicate which items are “draggable” and where they should be “dropped.” Indeed, the most difficult aspect about creating drag-and-drop interactions is deciding what you want to build! But if you can imagine how you want it to work, you’re well on your way to making your drag-and-drop interactions part of your course.

The video tutorial below shows two quick and easy ways you can convert any slide to a drag-and-drop interaction.

Not long ago, it took some relatively complex programming to build drag-and-drop interactions for your e-learning course. If you didn’t have those programming skills, you either had to find someone who did, which added extra time and expense to your project, or you had to omit those interactions from your project.

But with Articulate Storyline, anyone can build drag-and-drop activities in minutes—with no programming required. These interactive elements are an easy and fun way to boost engagement in your course. More important, developing them no longer impact your project’s timeline or budget.

Getting started

A great way to get started is to reframe previously static content into interactive knowledge checks. These exercises invite learners to take action and make decisions. The goal is to engage and challenge learners to apply what they’ve learned in the context of a realistic situation. For example, the drag-and-drop activity shown below tests the learner’s mastery of etiquette rules to set a formal dining table.
