ASTD International Events in Europe and Canada

ASTD supports a number of events around the world, and autumn is one of the most popular times of year for international conferences and events.

In September I participated in the launch event for our new international partner in the UK, The Learning Sanctuary. I also visited our international partners and members in Ireland and the Netherlands. I appreciated the exchange of ideas with local practitioners and gained valuable insight into local learning communities and current challenges.

In October, I participated in the 5th European Conference in Copenhagen, organized by our international partner, Global Network Denmark. Later in the month I was in Toronto, Canada, to participate in the 2009 CSTD and IFTDO World Conference & Trade Show, co-organized by IFTDO and CSTD, an ASTD international partner. Both conferences featured an impressive list of international speakers and thought leaders, and many opportunities for participants to network and learn from each other.
