Welcome to Salt Lake City! ATD21 will be filled with learning and networking opportunities, and all of that will surely work up your appetite. So, where can you take a break to find some good food in the city?
Below and in your program guide is a restaurant guide to dining options near ATD21. Within walking distance of the Salt Lake City Convention Center is City Creek Center and The Gateway, two shopping centers with numerous restaurant options. Here are some highlights:
City Creek Center
This shopping center is 0.1 miles from the convention center. In addition to traditional quick eats such as Chick-Fil-A and McDonald’s, there are casual and fine dining options, including:
Brio Italian Grille: Open daily until 9 p.m., this restaurant serves steak, seafood, and pasta dishes. It also has a wood-burning oven for flatbreads. It accepts reservations and also offers curbside pickup.
The Cheesecake Factory: As the name indicates, you can’t go wrong here with cheesecake for your meal. The restaurant has 50 varieties. It also has a robust menu of meal options from salads, sandwiches, and pizzas to pasta, seafood, and steaks. Open daily until 10 p.m. (11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday), it accepts reservations and also offers takeout.
The Gateway
A little further from the convention center, roughly two blocks away, is The Gateway shopping center. Quick eat options include Chedda Burger, Panda Express, and Costa Vida Mexican grill. The center also houses multiple fine dining and casual restaurants, including:
Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar: Flemings serves both steak and seafood dishes as well as numerous plant-based options. It also offers separate gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan menus. The restaurant is open daily starting at 4 p.m. and accepts reservations.
Midici Neopolitan Pizza Company: For an Italian experience of wood-fired pizza, consider Midici. It boasts a menu made from fresh, natural, and primarily non-GMO ingredients. This location offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeout and is open daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (mid-day opening on Saturday and Sunday).
Meet to Eat
ATD21 offers attendees the opportunity to join with others for a shared meal via the Meet to Eat program. Sign up in the conference platform. You can choose from lunch (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) Sunday through Wednesday and dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. The restaurants are noted with each option, and spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Note, guests should meet at the restaurant and your meal is self-funded.
