Why did you pursue the CPTD?

When I started my career in learning and development back in 2013, I wanted to be one of the experts in this field to serve the L&D community in the Middle East.

To achieve this objective, I needed a deep knowledge through a well-researched and clear competency framework. And that is what I found with the CPTD through the Talent Development Capability Model™, which is very comprehensive and future focused.

How have you benefited from the credential—professionally and/or personally?

On a personal level, I became more confident, competent, and professional with the credential.

On the professional level, CPTD set me apart and differentiated me from other professionals in the L&D field. I gained credibility and demonstrated commitment to understanding and excelling in my profession.

Earning my CPTD helped me stay on top of trends by acquiring new and updated industry knowledge and skills, which is particularly important in today’s competitive market.

What advice would you share with others considering certification?

My first piece of advice is that if anyone wants to differentiate themselves, validate their knowledge, and stay competitive in this rapidly evolving industry, CPTD is definitely the go-to certification and a worthwhile investment of time and money.

My second piece of advice is to take it seriously and don’t spare any effort or time because you are investing in your career and future.

How do you think certification helps the talent development field?

Certification equips its holder with the knowledge base and skill set to stand out from the crowd, which will help the TD field to have more qualified and competent TD professionals.

What does having your credential mean to you?

Having my credential means fulfillment, confidence, and responsibility.

How did you get into the talent development field?

Getting into talent development was not a coincidence. Learning and talent development are and will always be my lifelong passions, and I will work hard to keep this passion alive by being on the cutting edge of this industry.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Follow your passion and work hard to live a meaningful and purposeful life.
