ATD23 News has conducted impromptu interviews with ATD23 attendees in San Diego. In this installment, hear from Quincy Kissack, learning and talent specialist at US Venture.
On her role: I oversee all of our leadership development programs and help guide our talent performance management strategy.
On previous experience: I started \[at US Venture\] about a year ago. Previously, I was in higher education in student affairs, so the shift to corporate has been a really interesting one.
On learning about ATD23: I learned about this conference from my supervisor. She recommended that I come. I’m new to learning and development in the corporate space, so it was really her mentorship that guided me here.
On her first day at the conference: It’s been great. I’ve really enjoyed getting to meet people from across the industry and learning how their learning and development and talent functions operate and how they’re set up. \[…\] I’ve learned a lot.
On what she’s looking forward to during the conference: I’m looking forward to just continuing to learn. I’m really interested in skills-based learning and how you can build it across the talent ecosystem, so I’ll be attending quite a few of those sessions.
