Best Talent Development Advice?
Learning is a continuous journey. The best way to develop others is to create holistic learning experiences that meet the learner’s needs and empower them to thrive in their professional lives. It’s important to think of learning as more than the traditional one-time event and expand our toolbox to include coaching, mentoring, videos, book clubs, and more. Learning isn’t just a means to an end. It’s about getting to better business outcomes and performance. To do this, there must be a strong focus on learning application and reinforcement.
What’s the most valuable thing you’ve gained or experienced during your membership with ATD?
Participating in ATD conferences several times during the past few years has been magical! I walk away with fresh innovative ideas that I can immediately implement in learning and organization development initiatives. These conferences inspire and motivate me to go beyond my comfort zone and stretch my skills beyond what I think is capable.
