The technology landscape in healthcare is evolving to incorporate mobile devices into clinical workflows. This change is being driven by provider and clinician demand and IT policies such as "bring your own device" (BYOD).
Not surprisingly, healthcare professionals are requesting access to education and support materials through their mobile devices. Leaders in healthcare, IT, and education, as well as instructional designers need to be prepared with strategies to support this shift in the clinical workspace.
In my ATD 2015 TechKnowledge session, “Leveraging Mobile Technology for Healthcare” I discussed this shift in demand and presented case studies of mobile learning deployment within the healthcare arena. Specifically, my session covered how to:
apply strategies for successful mobile learning development and deployment
discover strategies currently in use in healthcare for mobile learning
use outcome-focused methodologies to support your mobile initiative.
