Hello Everyone!
It is a pleasure to introduce myself as your new Community of Practice Manager for Learning & Development. I look forward to connecting with you on all things learning design—as training development is my passion.
First, a little bit about me…
I’ve spent the last 12 years in the nonprofit sector, developing and marketing professional development programs for the adult learner. I’ve worked across multiple industries, including health care, commercial real-estate, foodservice, and broadcast media. My specialties include educational planning, PR/marketing, and project management.
My career path has been challenging, rewarding, and energizing to say the least. I’ve had the opportunity to serve a few wonderful companies along my way: The American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and the _National Association of Broadcasters Education Foun_dation (NABEF).
Currently, and in my spare time, I function as president and spokesperson for the Alliance for Women in Media, National Capital Area Chapter (AWM-NCAC) in Washington, D.C. In this role, my mission is to connect, engage, and empower media professionals through professional development initiatives.
I have similar goals for the L&D Community of Practice. I want to continue enriching this community with the tools and resources needed to perform optimally at what you love to do. After all, trainers make the world go ‘round!
So, enough about me…
Now, I want to hear from you! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, ideas, or want to brainstorm over a particular topic. You can email me directly at [email protected].
