I would like to think that there are translatable skills when it comes to bowling and training and development (T&D).  After all, there are fundamental elements in both, such as warm up activities, proper form, skill progression, and approach and delivery methods.

Of course, there is also something to be said for the professional relationships and communication skills that can be developed from socializing with your peers outside of the professional environment. Building a network of young professionals that you can learn from and grow with can be just as important to your professional success as collaboration and mentorship. That’s why ASTD will be hosting an ASTD Young Professionals Night Out to kick off this year’s ASTD 2014 International Conference & Exposition.
