As 2022 recedes into the distance, business leaders are thinking about what 2023 will hold. The past few years have been extremely disruptive in terms of the way we think about and perform our work - will this year bring more of the same? One of the first major trends experts are predicting is that hiring will slow down, but jobseekers will still retain much of the power. This will cause organizations to adapt to remain competitive in the labor market, increasing the frequency of perks like hybrid work arrangements and higher wages. Also expect to see an increased prioritization of managerial training and support. Studies are revealing and anecdotal evidence is proving that manager burnout is at an all-time high. People in these positions were on the front lines of navigating the historical transition from traditional office spaces to hybrid and remote work, and training and support for them are just now catching up. Organizations are understanding just how critical their managers are and are looking for ways to help them navigate the evolving nature of their work.
