With artificial intelligence (AI) tools available, employees feel like they need more training. That's according to a report conducted by TalentLMS, which sought to understand AI integration’s impacts on workplaces. Over 1,000 employees were surveyed across the US, and the results indicate cautious interest in tools like ChatGPT and other natural language processing technologies. Of those surveyed, 49 percent said they need more training before using these tools effectively. A little less than a quarter, 23 percent, said they didn't feel like they needed formal training, and 14 percent said they didn't plan on using these tools. “People may feel threatened by a technology that shows creativity,” says Thanos Papangelis, TalentLMS cofounder and CEO. “Conversely, productivity will get a huge boost, and our economies that seem flat will witness a boost similar to the internet or mobile phones. Jobs may be destroyed, but more jobs will be created.”
