The Rise of the Hybrid Workforce

There are currently 125 million full-time employees in the US. Of them, a little more than half say they can do their jobs remotely. That means about 70 million workers want a change. One thing is clear: A new world of work is emerging. Many people in leadership roles are currently grappling with the fact that hybrid work environments will continue to increase in popularity—if your organization doesn’t embrace this new type of work, you’ll lose the talent battle. Simply put, highly skilled workers have options when it comes to their employment, and they will seek out organizations that offer them the flexibility they’re looking for. However, this means that managers need more training, specifically on how to lead a hybrid workforce. Once the pivot is made, though, your new hybrid office might be more effective than your traditional one.
