Employers encouraged to actively recruit students for internship positions.
ASTD is offering employers the opportunity to recruit and promote training and development internship positions on its popular ASTD Job Bank.
To qualify for a complimentary single 30-day job posting, internship positions must meet certain criteria:
• Require a defined start and end date and not be intended as a “Temp to Full Time” position.
• Require student status if a paid position.
• May be paid or unpaid.
• Listing may be renewed at no charge if position has not been filled.
• Positions offering pay and employee benefits do not qualify for this offer.
“ASTD seeks to bridge the education-to-experience gap for students studying in training and development-related programs,” said Cami Best-Jones, the manager for ASTD’s Higher Education community of practice. “Providing employers a free resource to find qualified and interested students for their open internships is good for both employers and students, and good for the profession.”
The ASTD Job Bank is the go-to resource for companies seeking to fill training and development positions. Likewise, job seekers use ASTD’s free job search and resume posting service when they are seeking new employment opportunities. In 2012, more than 1,500 positions were posted to the ASTD Job Bank.
