The article introduces the computer-based video game simulation with two roles designed to train public health workers and emergency responders in case of emergencies, developed by the Center for the Advancement of Distance Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago. The simulation project has imitated a live crisis scenario and is the first in a series of simulations for bioterrorism, pandemic flu, small pox and other disasters that needs large distribution of medicines and vaccines. It was noted that the new project is not a replacement of the traditional training, but a reinforcement of what was taught. Moreover, the project was presented at the Annual Distance Learning Summit in December 2005.
