The article states that according to the Canadian Society for Training and Development eighty percent of professional development in Canada now includes e-learning. "The Globe and Mail," which reported the CSTD statistic, said that just five years ago online training was rare in that country. According to Ruth Daniels, a judge for CSTD's Awards for Training Excellence, the balance has shifted out of the classroom and onto the computer, and e-learning is becoming dominant.
