The article presents information related to "effort management," the concept of effectively reinforcing the attempt to learn. It requires everyone to put effort for achieving a goal or objective. A person's confidence and self-esteem should be build up by praising his work. Everyone must provide positive reinforcement of both effort and ability as it relates to outcomes to help that person stay motivated to continue learning and performing at a high level. When someone is expected to perform at a certain level, and he does so, leaders of managers should provide him with positive reinforcement related to that outcome. For good effort managers, both success and failure are merely fuel to focus more on the task the next time. In the case of failure, one learns from the experience and any feedback. And as one's self-confidence remains high, he is motivated to perform the task again and improve. Even better, one may take on a harder task and still expect to perform at a high level.
