This article focuses on the issue of improving an organization's leadership. It also describes at which leadership level should organizations concentrate their limited development resources. In a 2003 survey conducted by Development Dimensions International of more than 1000 organizations internationally, leadership development was identified as the single biggest challenge. In another 2003 study by Chief Executive magazine 756 organizations rated leadership development as one of the top five business priorities.
