The article presents information on the employee's training system at Johnson Controls Inc. The company has combined virtual instructor-led distance learning with local, manager-led activities to help salespeople learn to deliver the new marketing messages. After this combination, one instructor was able to simultaneously train 284 participants in 15 locations. This initiative of the company brought favorable results. Follow-up evaluations revealed that 91 percent of sales training participants implemented the initiative within four weeks of their training.
