The article focuses on the approval of the training harassment law in California in August 2007. Under the law, employers who do business in the state and have more than 50 employees must provide all supervisors with training on how to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. The regulations have created innovative requirements for all forms of harassment training, particularly electronic learning. Meanwhile, interactivity, facilitator expertise, and documentation and tracking seem the most rigorous among the litany of details discussed in the legislation. In addition, the law clearly defines a "trainer" as an employment law attorney who has been admitted to a state bar for two or more years, a human resource professional or a consultant with two or more years of experience.
