People use their phones to get work done, communicate with others, and learn something new. A decade ago, the training community considered mobile learning a technology trend, and mobile learning was at the peak of inflated expectations on the Gartner Hype Cycle curve, a graphic representation of the maturity and adoption of technologies and applications. Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality were not yet on the scene. Fast forwarding to 2024, mobile learning has become an essential part of how employees learn. It has seamlessly integrated into workers' daily routines, ranging from AI tutors to AR treasure hunts.
