The pandemic has shined a light on the need for employers to correlate employee well-being with work and results.

As the world emerges from one of the most significant disruptions seen in generations and society at large continues to redefine "normal," employers are having to rethink the role they have in worker well-being. Wellness programs were in place pre-pandemic at more than 80 percent of companies, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation's 2019 Employer Health Benefits Survey. Such programs provide employees smoking-cessation and weight-loss support or offer lifestyle and behavioral coaching. However, in the pandemic's aftermath, employee needs have changed, and workers are making a call for their employers to move beyond wellness and to well-being.
