According to the National Association of Manufacturers, nearly 3.5 million manufacturing jobs will likely be needed during the next 10 years, and 2.4 million are expected to go unfilled. Currently, NAM reports that U.S. manufacturers have some 428,000 job openings, and 68 percent say that the inability to attract and retain talent is their top concern. That leaves talent and organizational development professionals questioning how to recruit and grow employees in this field.
