The article discusses the implications on middle manager's individual performance on business developments in the U.S. According to a survey conducted by Accenture, it was revealed that in line with the downsizing of businesses middle managers are also affected and frustrated. This frustration commonly caused by low compensation wherein middle managers cannot balance one's work and personal life, and the bonuses that are tied to the company's performance instead of individual performance. It was cited that the mere indicator on middle managers concern were from the communication problem because organizations had failed to think creatively in terms of offering long-term incentives for middle managers.
