The article offers information about the National Career Readiness Certificate program launched by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and ACT Inc. It was undertaken because a certain business wanted uniform employee credentials in all states that it operates. The program assesses the competencies of the applicants in applied mathematics and reading and locating for information essential for the job. Furthermore, ACT maintains a database of job types, required certificate level and job bank that allows employers to post jobs and search for candidates with appropriate certificate level.
