How many times have you heard someone say, "We should really document this process" or "Why don't we have a job aid for this?" Talent development professionals often overlook the task of identifying and documenting work processes and procedures. We know we should do it. We've been meaning to get to it. Yet somehow, we don't get around to it. We might even get complacent because we take for granted that department team members know and can execute these work processes and procedures. The old adage "failing to plan is planning to fail" really does apply here.
