The article features a research concerning occurrence of training and human resources (HR) operation on businesses in the U.S. The research conducted by American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and Brandon Hall Research revealed that 60 percent of the respondents believed that training and HR operations are converging in their organizations, with 90 percent predicting that trend will continue. In addition, others also admit that the imminent skills gap is increasing teamwork among workplace learning and performance professionals and the HR staff. Moreover, the survey found out that many common talent management functions are owned by either the HR but it may also managed differently including the department level by individual managers.
