The article reports on the increase of demand of temporary employment in the U.S. The 2007 "Temporary Jobs Guidebook" reveals that the demand will outpace the growth of total employment by more than thirty percent. It is expected that total employment will have an annual growth of 1.2 in the next decade, while temporary and contract employees and individual consultants will increase by 3.8 percent annually. Total employment and contingent labor have increased by 1.3 percent and 5.2 percent annually in the past 16 years.
