It's no secret that, compared to men, women deal with an uneven playing field in the workplace. Census data from 2021 shows that, although women constitute almost half of the workforce, only 42 percent of working women are managers. Furthermore, full-time female managers only make 71 cents for every dollar full-time male managers make. Via The Art of Speaking Up podcast, Jessica Guzik attempts to solve some of the problems the gender gap creates.
Despite describing herself as "quirky" and "introverted," Guzik conquered her insecurities to establish a career with more than eight years of corporate strategy, then became an executive at 32 years old. Her wealth of experience, distilled via the podcast, empowers women to achieve their career goals by helping them strengthen their voices and find their inner power.
The Art of Speaking Up has published more than 250 episodes. Among other topics, the show covers career advancement, goal setting, job searching, stress management, and salary negotiation.
