This article focuses on experiences of an army soldier. From authors Army experiences, and business career, author have built on the philosophy that one should always do the best he or she can no matter how seemingly insignificant the assigned task might be. Many people might not know that one can receive the Bronze Star for work excellence as well as valor. Perhaps it would help to remember that a mistake at work will probably not be life-threatening. Drawing on author's Vietnam tour of duty, author discovered early in business career that it's easier to train and work with employees when the leader is willing to admit that he or she was once in their position looking for guidance.
