An interview process enables you and an organization to get to know each other. You will be talking about yourself a lot—more than some individuals are comfortable with. Many people operate with the erroneous idea that it's impolite to talk about yourself. In reality, it's impolite to talk about yourself when it's inappropriate. Inappropriate can mean hogging the conversation—that is, turning a conversation into a monologue. However, during an interview, the organization's explicit aim is to learn more about you. It would be inappropriate not to talk about yourself in that context. You should do so in a way that is humble, winsome, and informative.
