This podcast is built on the premise that some of the best lessons we learn are from others' experiences. Hosted by Shane Parrish, a former cybersecurity expert who later founded the intellectual hub Farnam Street, The Knowledge Project exposes listeners to the experiences of some of the world's greatest minds.
Guests join Parrish to discuss topics that not only promote critical thinking but often have clear implications for organization development. Parrish sometimes brings his own experiences to the table when conversing with leaders from various industries. The show often yields high-level, engaging, yet conversational banter.
In an early episode, "The Three Types of Decision Makers with Venkatesh Rao," Parrish and Rao, a writer and independent management consultant, cover the intricacies involved in decision making and discuss how using certain mental models can maximize the brain's power. In another episode, former National Hockey League player Brent Gilchrist, who later became a mining executive, takes lessons from the rink and applies them to team building and leadership in "Goal Mining with Brent Gilchrist."
Approximately 100 episodes are now available via all major podcast platforms at no cost. Those interested in receiving extra benefits, such as ad-free episodes, show transcripts, and member-exclusive content, can pay for a monthly or annual premium subscription.
