It's hard to imagine how many different topics this publication—which started as Industrial Training News and six name changes later is now TD magazine—has explored over the span of 75 years. Just as the training and talent development profession has evolved during that time, so too has the Association for Talent Development's flagship publication.

Looking solely at the wide range of cover stories we've published for three-quarters of a century offers a glimpse of the emerging trends, promising practices, notable methods, and pressing issues that have steered and affected the industry over time. For the following pages, we identified just a handful of the various topics that have become constants in the magazine—and the profession.
