Many professionals find their to-do lists ever growing with no way to control them. Lauren Hockenson of Mashable.com has uncovered some cures to every worker's task overload. In a recent article on the site, Hockenson focuses on a handful of organization apps designed to manage one's to-do list. Here are highlights of some of the best.
Toodledo (www.toodledo.com). Perhaps you can handle your own to-do list but struggle to organize the tasks of your work group or family. With Toodledo, you can seamlessly create a shared "workspace" with others and monitor and manage tasks while striving toward similar goals. Invite others to the workspace, an area where group members can list to-dos instead of allocating them between multiple platforms.
Astrid (www.astrid.com). For the to-do list novice, Astrid is an ideal tool for getting organized, and fast. The simple platform comes with preset tasks, so you can "click and go." The free version offers mobile and desktop options that sync seamlessly to the cloud for easy list access from any location. Astrid will keep you organized without the weight of complicated technology.
Remember the Milk (www.rememberthemilk.com). Having an organization app is helpful, but accessing it easily and recording your tasks is sometimes half the battle. The creators of Remember the Milk set out to solve this challenge by integrating their app with multiple platforms, giving you the ability to add tasks from a variety of access points, including Gmail, a bookmarklet, and other apps for the iPhone, Android, and iPad. If you are looking for a tool with multiple connection options, this app is for you.
