This article presents an interview with Ralph Alvarez, McDonald's President and COO. When asked about how employee training supports the strategies of the organization, Alvarez answered that their success is due to employee training which allows them to change menus and deliver high level operations. He points out that they use the direct and indirect metrics to know that learning activities are working. He comments that learning impact on comparable sales and guest counts are interrelated.
