Chao has pointed out that almost 90 percent of new jobs in high-wage fields will require workers who have at least some training beyond high school. A coalition that advocates for improving the skills of the American workforce, called Workforce Alliance, has been launching an awareness campaign, Skills 2 Compete, to encourage and highlight state policies that help workers get the post-secondary training they need.
