This article focuses on various ways in which computer users can prevent vision disorders. Jeffrey Anshel, the author of the book "Visual Ergonomics in the Workplace," says that the high visual demands of computer work result in the development of eye and vision-related problems in many persons. He says that visual stress can be reduced by frequently looking away from the screen of one's computer. He says that persons whose jobs may require lot of time in front of a monitor must examine their eyes soon after beginning computer work and periodically thereafter.
