We've just about made it through a challenging 2020, and I'm sure many of you are looking forward to starting anew in 2021. I'm very much aware that turning a page on the calendar won't alleviate all that has happened this year. After all, we'll start off 2021 still fighting a pandemic; still keeping our physical distance from colleagues, customers, and clients; still adjusting to an altered economy; and still addressing matters of racial injustice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. However, with a bit of hindsight, we can start the new year with more concrete strategies to continue adapting as best we can to the ever-changing business landscape.

What have you learned most about yourself this year? How has your team, department, and company weathered the 2020 storm? What new ideas and initiatives did you test that subsequently succeeded?

I much prefer to look at the positives than dwell on the negatives that this year has produced. Glass half full, right? Thanks to all the authors who took the time to contribute to the magazine this year despite the extraordinary challenges they faced both in their work and home lives. Thanks are also in order to the TD magazine team—the editors, designers, and production staff—which never skipped a beat in our quick transition to a fully remote workplace.

Who knows what the new year will bring, but I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. By the way, 2021 will mark TD magazine's 75th anniversary, so we'll have some celebrating to do.

Onward!
