Although the term "edupreneur" has been around for many years, it regularly acquires new meaning in the evolving education industry. Traditionally, the term was used to describe an innovator in the public school system who creates a product or service that enhances learning. Now, the scope of an edupreneur has broadened to include any professional who uses her education background to create resources for learners of all ages and in all environments.
