This session will show you 17 alternatives to lecture that are part of the speaker's Creative Learning Strategies. You will learn why a powerful opener is more important than an icebreaker, the one thing almost every trainer does at the end of a program that should never be done at the end of a program, how to use the ACT method to close a program, five ways to kill learner motivation, and 11 powerful ways to motivate adult learners. All of this will be done modeling the speaker's 90/20/8 rule: adults can listen with understanding for 90 minutes, and with retention for 20 minutes, and we need to involve them every eight minutes.
