Learning designers are expected to have instructional design, graphic design, writing, and organization skills, among many other soft skills that are needed to be a quality member of a team. Add a freelancing layer to that, and a great deal of other skills become necessary just to survive. You become a personal branding expert, a networking guru, an accountant, and a project manager, to name a few. In this session, you'll explore ways to optimize your time and make sure you are always heading is the right direction as a freelancer. Even if you haven't begun freelancing yet, this session might help you make the decision on whether freelancing is the right career move for you. This session was recorded at the ATD 2018 TechKnowledge conference in San Jose, California.
