Much research has been done on the biggest workplace challenges keeping leaders up at night. The Association for Talent Development (ATD) conducted its own research prior to launching CTDO magazine in December 2015. We surveyed and interviewed our executive audience to uncover the greatest pain points present in their roles as leaders of the talent development (TD) function. TD executives identified the following as major sources of angst:
measuring impact and effectiveness
leadership development
business and strategic alignment
adapting to globalization
employee engagement
resource allocation
leadership support
budget
time
succession planning.
Do any of these sound familiar? Each free, quarterly issue of CTDO magazine deals with one of the above challenges in the column, Angst Index. Our goal is to provide you with the solutions to your greatest sources of stress by discussing these issues and unpacking proven best practices and new ideas.
For example, in the Winter 2015 issue of CTDO, David Dotlich and Raj Ramachandran discuss evolving best practices for leaders seeking to drive lasting organizational change in the midst of a disruptive work environment. The Spring 2016 publication deals with the frustration many TD executives experience because of a lack of understanding of how to measure and interpret employee engagement data. What employee and workplace development issues are keeping you up at night? We’d love to hear from you. Contact me any time, and read more from CTDO here.
