Follow these four rules to master evaluation through the iterative development process.

Evaluation is a critical component of any instructional design and development project. For some design methods, like the ADDIE model, evaluation comes at the end and can be lost. But with modern project management methods—such as Agile, LLAMA, the Successive Approximation Model, and approaches inspired by design thinking—product evaluation is required during the development process to ensure that it will meet the learners' needs and fill the performance gap. It is an iterative process. While this makes sense on paper, putting it into practice may be difficult.
