Leadership effectiveness has a significant impact on business strategy success. However, many small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups lack internal resources and the budget for training on leadership skills. Often the career opportunity to be innovative and contribute to a company's growth comes with limitations on formal development resources. Sometimes leaders in such a situation take the path of joining book clubs, participating in networking groups, listening to a podcast, and using free or low-cost online videos. While activities such as reading a book or watching a free TED Talk or YouTube video can certainly inspire some personal learning, they often don't intentionally ensure that the users think about how the learning aligns with their organization's business strategy.
