Miwa Shimodori
About
Miwa Shimodori has worked in the education industry for 30 years. In addition to developing projects at educational institutions and conducting research activities at universities, she worked as a part-time lecturer at a junior college for nine years and as a training instructor teaching material development for a company for 10 years. Currently, she is a training performance consultant at PERSOL Research and Consulting Co., Ltd., a leading human resources company in Japan.
Miwa served as a member of the Secretariat of the Piano Teachers’ National Association of Japan for 17 years. She was engaged in the expansion and strengthening of membership organizations and business management bases, the development and dissemination of businesses related to member education and evaluation, and support for the revitalization of classrooms for dealers and schools.
For nine years, Miwa worked as a part-time lecturer at Toho Junior College of Music (Tokyo), where she taught a course called Lesson Management. She taught student recruitment, teaching planning, and communication skills.
In 2011, she joined Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. She participated in the Competency Development for Women Leaders project, where she was in charge of planning and managing career education courses and research through industry-academia collaboration. In 2015, she joined Socio-tech Institute CO., LTD. as a training instructor.
Since 2019, Miwa has overseen numerous training programs for major corporations and their subsidiaries. These programs have focused on career design, human resource development, management training, and other essential business skills. Additionally, she has extensive experience in developing and designing training programs.
She earned a master of business administration from the University of Wales. She is also a Nationally Certified Career Consultant in Japan, Action Learning Coach (Japan Action Learning Association), and Hogan Assessments Certified Feedback Coach.
