Professor Rob Pratt is the Earned Value Management Performance Learning Director for the Defense Acquisition University. Prior to this position, he served as a Professor of Program Management in DAU’s School for Program Managers. He rejoined DAU in July 2007 after serving two and a half years as the US Marine Corps’ Lean Six Sigma Enterprise Program Manager. During Rob’s 34- year government career, he has served as a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager for two Navy ACAT IC and ACAT IAM programs. During other assignments, Rob served as an Earned Value Management Analyst, Financial Management Analyst, Contracting Officer, Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Specialist and Management Analyst. Rob has extensive experience as a professor teaching contract management, earned value, and program management for the Defense Acquisition University, Naval Post Graduate School, Naval Center for Acquisition Training, Tidewater Community College, and the USDA Graduate School. While on active duty in the US Navy, Rob worked in the intelligence community. He is certified Level III in Program and Contract Management. Rob’s degrees include a BS in Public Administration; MS in Management; and an MBA in Business. His doctoral studies are in operations and project management.
