Sofia Lamuraglia
About
Sofia Lamuraglia is the first line manager segment leader for the management development team at IBM Learning. She’s responsible for the delivery and deployment of all IBM global management development programs. Sofia has a passion for developing leaders and growing high-potential talent. She’s focused on designing and implementing a variety of leadership development initiatives, contributing to employee engagement and business results; two programs for newly appointed managers; a 360-feedback program for experienced managers; and a website to complement IBM’s new manager induction experience. In her previous role at IBM, Sofia was an organization and leadership consultant in leadership strategy and research, where she helped develop the new IBM leadership framework, including IBM’s enterprise-wide competency model and corresponding surveys. She also delivered individual feedback consultations to executives and high potentials on leadership competencies, derailment factors, personality instruments, and organizational climate, enhancing leaders’ ability to foster employees’ high performance and engagement. Prior to joining IBM, Sofia worked as a clinical psychologist for four years, then returned to school to earn a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University. She also worked as an intern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
