Thomas Anderson’s responsibilities include managing all aspects of two leadership development programs for HiPOs at TVA including those that will assume executive-level positions within 12 months (ready now candidates) as well as those that are ready long-term (12-36 months). His 30-year career in the utility industry included positions as training manager, leadership development manager, accreditation team manager, and human resources manager/director. He holds a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification as well as first-level mediator for dispute resolution. He has a working knowledge of all levels of ADDIE and has conducted training programs throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. He is a former team leader for accreditation teams at nuclear utilities throughout the U.S. where he assessed accredited training programs against established industry standards. Prior to his career in the utility industry, Tom spent 10 years in public education as a teacher of the handicapped as well as being the principal of a state school for the handicapped and county director of public and private services for handicapped children under PL 94-142.
