Chris Dobyns currently serves as the manager of the Office of Human Resource Strategies at the National Security Agency. Chris joined the National Security Agency shortly after 9/11, and has helped steer the agency through various pay and compensation reforms during a period that has seen some of the most dramatic hiring and changes in the NSA’s history. Chris is a regular presenter on topics of pay, recognition, and incentives, and he has provided briefings to high-level audiences including agency senior management, the undersecretary of defense for intelligence and the U.S. Department of Defense, and audiences from other intelligence community agencies.

Chris Adams is a performance consultant and instructional designer with more than 20 years of experience helping clients engage people, apply processes, and implement technology to improve human and organizational performance. He is currently a senior consultant for Handshaw Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chris was co-inventor of Handshaw’s award-winning software, Lumenix, one of the first content-managed platforms for e-learning. He has been a featured speaker for a number of ISPI and ATD chapters, and has presented at regional and international conferences such as Training Solutions, The Performance Improvement Conference, and the Coast Guard Human Performance Technology Conference. Chris holds degrees in mass communication and instructional systems technology and is currently a doctoral student in the instructional design and technology program at Old Dominion University.

Chris resides in New England with his wife, two children, and the family’s mini-goldendoodle. He serves on the Board of Directors for Suffield Community Aid, an organization that provides supportive health and social services for Suffield residents in times of need. In his spare time, Chris enjoys exercising, cheering for the Boston Celtics, and collecting SAAB cars.

He holds a bachelor of science in information technology with an emphasis in multimedia and visual communication from the University of Phoenix, a master of information systems from the University of Phoenix, and a doctor of education in organizational leadership with an emphasis in higher education leadership from Grand Canyon University.
